They lost touch with each other long ago, and only a sincere conversation, combining familiar roles and notions on married life, is capable of giving their relationship new life and helping them cross the line of the sun that symbolically divides the space between them. Ultimately, the play takes a simple family drama and turns it into a conversation about the most relevant question today: the problem of communication between living creatures on this planet.”Critics & Media

THE PILLOWMAN
About Play
“The Pillowman,” a three-act play, was presented at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University in a unique setting—the two-story basement. In line with our concept, the basement serves as a crime scene where the play’s characters, detectives, transport the suspects by car and embark on the challenging task of unraveling murder cases. As the plot unfolds, the audience is transported through different levels of the basement, delving deeper into the mysteries in search of the ultimate truth.
Another distinctive feature of the play is the inclusion of a functioning car that moves within the basement, serving as an integral element of the performance. The lighting, sound effects, and various events within the play are intricately connected to the car’s presence and movements, enhancing the overall experience for the audience.
